I would like to welcome you all to the 2012 Sandbox invitational. It should be a great meet and we are looking forward to a lot of fast swims. After a long week and a half I am pleased to let you all know that we are fully operational with no restrictions that I know of. We are currently running our whole operation on a generator. About 1pm today we tested the generator even more and it was able to handle the lights.
Believe it or not we will not have a main power source other than the generator. You and your athletes will not notice a difference in the operation of the pool.
I would like to thank all of our wonderful staff at UMBC who have worked so hard to make sure our meet runs as smooth as possible.
There is one area in the indoor pool that has CAUTION TAPE due to all of the cords. Please ask you swimmers and families to not enter that area!!
PARKING is always an issue on any campus. ON THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY UNTIL 4pm you MUST park in the STADIUM lot. Please make sure all your families know. You can park at a meter but you must feed it and keep it fed. If parked anywhere else you will be ticketed.

It is with great pleasure that I announce our pool is in full operation. All functions of the pool including rentals will return to normal schedule starting Monday after our meet.
